Gary De Carolis who has had a long love affair with the Queen City. Gary, an author and three-time former city councilor, has held political appointments in Vermont and high-level administrative positions in the Federal Government but has always remained a resident of Burlington. |

Gary will
share fascinating facts and stories of the Champlain Valley and
Burlington through the ages, from long before the site was first
spotted by Samuel de Champlain in 1609, the years around the War of
1812, how it grew from a hamlet to a village, then a town and
finally a city in 1865, and up until today.
Gary is a natural storyteller and will make Burlington’s history come alive in a fun and fact filled two hours. You will have a whole new outlook on why this is such a special city.
